World Mental Health Day
The World Health Organization recognizes World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide. In order to commemorate the day, SSP students took an initiative to work on the social issue of Mental Health. Their works depict a unique perception of the emotions experienced by a patient of mental illness.
Toe - ring, an identity
A human eye tends to miss out on details, minute yet strongly imbibed in one’s lives, to an extent that one forgets the significance each might have.
Toe – ring, an ornament mostly worn on a woman’s toes could mean so much to an individual or not mean anything at all. While for some, it may be a symbol of love, bond, tradition, marriage for the others, it could simply be an obligation or a fashion statement.
SSP students portray their thought processes of this minute ornament in the lives of several others who daily adorn it.
